Blogging Income Report: How I made $17,255 In One Month!

Blogging Income Report: I’ve started my blogging journey roughly 3 years ago! Wow, time really flies. In those 3 years I learned A LOT about business in general, blogging, creating websites, marketing, and literally every life skill a functioning adult needs.

Even though I started 3 years ago, I have to let you know that I didn’t commit to this on a full-time basis until February 2019. And those first 2 years were tough, and I honestly didn’t make much money. But once I decided to really put everything I got into this, I saw the results I was hoping for.

Before I get into the nitty-gritty of things, I just want to let you know that I am not writing this article to boast or show off.

I want you to see this as motivation, and to see the proof that there is an immense opportunity here to make a full-time income and be your own boss at the same time.

TOTAL MARCH 2020 INCOME: $17,255

Expenses

The great thing about blogging is that it doesn’t cost much., Expenses are very minimal, but the income is limitless. So, the profit margins can be huge.

Just to make this easier to read, I won’t break up my expenses with each site individually. Instead, for the purposes of this income report they will just be lumped together:

  • Hosting (For 2 sites): $70
  • Tailwind (Site 2 only): $120/Year or $9.99/Month
  • Convertkit (Site 2 only): $166/Month

TOTAL MARCH 2020 EXPENSES – $245.99

TOTAL MARCH 2020 PROFIT (PRE-TAX) – $17,009.01

That is A LOT! And the best part is that my expenses are super low! And that’s the thing about blogging; you can make an unbelievable amount of money with very little expense.

Don’t get me wrong though, it’s hard work to keep expenses this low, and there are dozens of things that I could spend money on. But my mission right from the beginning was to run this business with the least amount of expenses possible.

I have seen income reports from some big-name bloggers that had absurdly high expenses. And I knew that I really didn’t want to go down that road.

Additionally, I wanted to prove to myself and to all of my readers that it is possible to run this business for only a couple hundred dollars a month.

And really, if you look at Site 1, my only expense is hosting, which comes to $35/Month. And it made over $10,000 last month!

What Can Be Improved?

As you can tell, most of my income came from ad revenue. And while I have zero complaints about the amount of money that came in last month, I do have to think about diversifying my income streams.

You see, with the current world state, and the economic fallout, ad revenues will only be declining. And I’m already seeing them decline quite a bit.

So the best thing to do in this case (in any case really), is to diversify income streams.

I know that with the amount of traffic I get, I can definitely push affiliate offers more and expect to make increase affiliate-related income almost immediately.

Additionally, I am starting to look into creating more products.

This is a lot of work, but the big upside is that I get to keep almost 100% of the revenue.

Blogging Income Report, How I made $17,255 In One Month – Conclusion

March was a great month for me, and I will be taking advantage of the current lockdown to be more productive and diversify my income streams.

The overall purpose of this income report is to show you what can be achieved with blogging. And I am by no means a big blogger. My sites are fairly average at best when it comes to reach, but the income speaks for itself.

I’m curious as to why you switch from Mediavine to ezoic though?

Hi Claudia, Ezoic serves higher-paying ads and gives me more ability to customize the placements, track the analytics, and enhance my site speed =)
